Violin Lessons and Performances - Based in Jersey City
Annie Chen is a professional performer and educator who fell in love with music when she learned to play piano from her mother. As an advocate for arts education, she uses music as a tool for connection, joy, and celebrating culture. Annie brings violin and piano to the community through teaching and performing partnerships with JCFamilies, Covenant House, and Carnegie Hall.
Her ongoing commitment to learning is reflected in her study of diverse genres. While being focused on classical music, she expanded to studying Taiwanese folk songs, period performance on gut strings, bluegrass fiddle tunes, and modern music. Her performances include WelcometoChinatown, Boston Early Music Festival, Alpenkammermusik, Kutztown University, and The Smithsonian.
